Evidenced Based Treatment

Treatment of pediatric patients with community-acquired methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA) skin and soft tissue infections (SSTI) is a major challenge and concern in the global healthcare community. These infections are rapidly becoming more prevalent and prevention of further antibiotic resistance is of paramount importance. Primary health care providers need to know the most effective method of treatment and control of CA-MRSA SSTIs in the pediatric population to achieve resolution of infection, prevent adverse health outcomes, and limit spread of the infection.
